← About KLASS BANKInclusion and belonging

Different perspectives. A shared sense of respect.

A conversation everyone can join

People bring different experiences, abilities and priorities to banking. Clear language, respectful questions and room for different perspectives help make a conversation more useful. Inclusion belongs in everyday interactions with customers, colleagues, suppliers and communities.

Access to information

The website includes text-size, contrast and reduced-motion controls alongside keyboard navigation. Those tools offer display choices; if a page or process presents a barrier, describe the difficulty through the contact channel so the relevant team can understand it.

Workplace and opportunity

Skills can be developed along many paths. Customer experience, technology, analysis and operational expertise all contribute to a financial service. Our careers section explains these areas without assuming that every visitor has followed the same educational or professional route.

Relationships across the business

A supplier conversation should focus on capability, quality, responsible practice and the ability to deliver. A customer conversation should focus on the individual need and the information required to make a decision. In both, respect and clarity are a useful starting point.

Access to information

When asking for help or discussing an opportunity, explain the format or communication adjustment that would make participation easier. Do not disclose medical information in an ordinary enquiry when a description of the required adjustment is sufficient.

Respectful participation

Clear language, an opportunity to ask questions and documented responsibilities help people participate in service and workplace discussions. Concerns should be raised through the appropriate support or employment channel, with enough detail for follow-up.

Current role and service arrangements

Requirements and available adjustments depend on the specific activity. Historical employee stories and benefit programmes are not a statement of current employment terms or a promise that a particular role is available.
