Listen before acting
Community responsibility starts with understanding the circumstances of the people and organisations involved. Access to useful financial information, opportunities to develop skills and the capacity of local enterprise are connected concerns. A considered approach looks at those connections rather than treating each need in isolation.
Financial confidence
Understanding a repayment, recognising a suspicious message or planning a savings goal can make an everyday decision easier. Our public calculators and security guidance are available without a banking login, giving visitors a practical place to begin.
Local enterprise and opportunity
Businesses contribute more than products and services: they create relationships, develop skills and support livelihoods. Explore the business section for account, payment and planning topics, and prepare questions about the terms and availability that apply to your organisation.
Community enquiries
When raising an idea for collaboration, describe the community involved, the need, the intended outcome and how progress could be assessed. Use the published contact route to ask for the appropriate team. An enquiry is not a grant application, funding commitment or guarantee of support.
Prepare a community proposal
Set out the organisation, community need, intended participants, requested support, delivery plan and budget. Explain how the proposed activity will be governed and how outcomes can be measured. Confirm any permissions needed to share photographs or personal stories.
Funding and volunteering enquiries
Ask whether a relevant programme is accepting proposals before preparing an application. This page does not announce an open grant round, a foundation award or a volunteering commitment. Historic campaign amounts and eligibility rules are not current application terms.
Reporting progress
An agreed project should distinguish resources committed, activity completed and outcomes observed. Explain the reporting period and evidence behind any result, and avoid attributing an entire community outcome to a single contribution.
